AMSTERDAM

The city of free souls, and bikes.

Amsterdam holds the perfect combination of culture, shopping, fun, and amazing french fries. I strongly encourage you to go, and go with an open mind 🔅🔅🔅

TO DO

The 9 Streets: These streets hold the quirkiest, coolest shops & cafés.

Museumplein: This park is surrounded by Amsterdam’s best museums, including  the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum(Personal fave), and Stedelijk Museum. It also holds the famous IAMSTERDAM sign.

Bloemenmartk (Flower Market): Beautiful floating flower market. Take a stroll, enjoy the view and the smell of fresh flowers.

De Pijp: Bohemian neighborhood full of cafés, nice eateries, & unique shops.

Albert Cuyp Market: For me it has become a bit touristy (product wise), but it is still a nice walk. There are many stroopwaffle shops where you can get your stroopwaffle done fresh from scratch. There are also many hemp product shops & other quirky stuff.

Anne Frank Huis: This is more a historic and symbolic museum, since there is not much to see but a lot of meaning in there.

Canal Cruise: There are many companies around the canal where you can hop on and cruise the canal. I personally loved it. You can also rent out a boat for yourself or your group.

TO EAT

Van Wonderen Stroopwaffles: Made from scratch stroopwaffle, covered in chocolate, topped with salted caramel. This was my choice, but there are many others. MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH.

Henri Willig: Cheese & Mustard Heaven (shop, not a restaurant)

Bakers and Roasters: Really cool for brunch, mimosas & bloody marys. Make sure to make a reservation, other whise, be prepared to wait for a bit. Good thing is you can walk around or sit somewhere else (like De Taart Van M’n Tante which is a step away and has really nice coffe and dessert), they’ll text you when your table is ready.

Brouwerij’t IJ: Authentic craft beer tasting experience in a very nice location, next to an old windmill.

FoodhallenAn old train station that is now home to many different restaurants and cafés. This works like a “food court”, where tables are common and you can get our food from any stand.

Bazar: Middle Eastern & North African restaurant. It feels very colorful and alive, food is great too!!

Café-Restaurant Stork: This old industrial warehous is now home to the best and freshet fish & seafood in amsterdam. It is located by the river and is a very nice & open space.

Madam: Very cool concept rooftob bar with a beautiful 360 view & delicious food! Make sure you make a reservation before your travel, it’s very busy, specially on weekends.
